I loved all the missions, and I loved how he just keeps thinking and thinking, how can I help them, I want to help more people.

There's a lesson here that I think applies more broadly. People should stop looking for jobs and careers, and start looking for a quest - something that gives them purpose and allows their life to be a journey that contributes to others along the way.

The whole idea of leveling up by helping others, even indirectly, is such a fresh take on the classic ‘gamified life’ concept. Curious to see how rookie ethereal powers change Jeb.

The super power + gaming concept, especially with stat points and so on is the core of GameLit or LitRPG.
I picked a bit more of classic fantasy + GameLit approach to the whole thing.
Usually GameLit/LitRPG series are about fighting monsters but I wanted to make it about us, our lives and the times that we live in.
